Key Responsibilities
- Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high-quality patient-centered care.
- Participate in ongoing assessment of quality of patient care services provided in the unit, in collaboration with other members of the management team.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and other managers to create an environment of teamwork that supports improved outcomes and service.
- Support patient-first philosophy and engage in service recovery when necessary.
- Support efforts of facility to improve engagement by operationalizing current nursing strategies, including employee rounding, hourly rounds, and other initiatives.
- Provide recommendations related to interviewing, selecting, and training new staff.
- Assist with staff scheduling and managing all practical aspects of staff labor in accordance with patient care needs and established productivity guidelines.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
- Current State of Florida Registered RN License, or recognized Compact Licensure (subject to Florida State Licensing Requirements).
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS Certification via American Heart Association or client.
- Advanced certifications (i.e. CEN, TNCC, etc.) preferred.
- Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 lbs.
