Job Summary : The Product Innovation Director will be responsible for driving technological advancements that improve patient outcomes and operational efficiencies across both clinical and back-office operations. This individual will act as a creative leader, inspiring a culture of ingenuity, identifying emerging trends in healthcare technology, and integrating innovative solutions (such as mobile apps, AI, Athena Bolt Ons, and more). This role will unify and expand our technology stack, bridging the gap between abstract concepts and tangible implementations, and ensuring alignment with the company’s overall goals. This role is a unique blend of visionary leadership, strategic planning, and hands-on project management to drive growth, efficiency, and continuous improvement in a rapidly evolving industry.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and champion the company’s vision for technology adoption and innovation, focusing on both clinical and operational efficiencies.
  • Identify emerging trends and technologies in healthcare, including AI, mobile apps, and other cutting-edge solutions that can transform the business and improve patient outcomes.
  • Lead the creative process for new tech solutions, serving as a catalyst for continuous innovation across all departments.
  • Develop and implement long-term strategies for integrating innovative technologies into existing operations, with a focus on improving workflow, increasing patient satisfaction, and enhancing overall business efficiency.
  • Work closely with key stakeholders to ensure technology solutions are aligned with the company’s strategic goals and objectives.
  • Oversee the integration of various systems and platforms (e.g., Mobile App, AI, Athena Bolt Ons) to create a seamless and unified tech stack.
  • Manage the end-to-end implementation of technology projects, from concept to execution, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams, including IT, clinical staff, and business operations, to execute projects that meet the company’s needs.
  • Lead the process of transforming abstract technological ideas into practical, actionable plans with clear milestones and outcomes.
  • Foster a culture of creativity, collaboration, and continuous learning within the tech teams.
  • Ensure team members have the skills, resources, and support needed to successfully contribute to innovation initiatives.
  • Promote a continuous flow of ideas to improve internal processes, streamline operations, and enhance the patient experience.
  • Encourage a culture of experimentation, learning from both successes and failures to drive ongoing process improvements.
  • Use data and analytics to assess the impact of new technologies, providing actionable insights to guide future decisions.
  • Work closely with leadership across departments to ensure that technology solutions address both business and clinical needs effectively.
  • Communicate the value and impact of technology initiatives to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring buy-in and support for innovation projects.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all technology innovation initiatives, representing the company in external partnerships and industry forums.
  • Manage the organizational change associated with new technology implementations, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruption to daily operations.
  • Identify and manage risks associated with new technologies, ensuring the security, privacy, and compliance of healthcare systems.
  • Ensure new solutions comply with healthcare regulations and industry standards.

  • Qualifications

  • Visionary leadership and the ability to inspire and manage teams through change.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare technologies, including mobile applications, AI, Electronic Health Records (Athena experience preferred), and other healthcare-specific systems.
  • Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to balance visionary goals with practical implementation.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Experience in budget management and resource allocation for technology initiatives.
  • Education & Experience :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Technology, Healthcare Administration, Business, or a related field.
  • Advanced degrees (e.g., MBA, MHA) or certifications in technology or healthcare innovation (e.g., PMP, Six Sigma) are preferred.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in technology leadership, with a focus on healthcare IT and innovation.
  • Proven track record of successfully implementing and integrating innovative technology solutions within a healthcare setting.
  • Strong experience managing cross-functional teams and large-scale projects.
  • Physical Requirements : The physical demands of this position will include sitting and standing with occasional light to medium lifting.
