What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Accountant - Engineering position at TalentConnect?
Our client, a Engineering Firm in Raleigh, NC, is seeking a Project Accountant to join their successful, environmental engineering firm. They are an employee-owned firm with over 1,200 people in over 50 locations across the country and abroad. Our primary focus is on planning, designing, and overseeing the firms construction projects.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Has a Business or Accounting degree or similar Accounting experience
- Has a positive attitude, professional demeanor and appearance
- Possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Is able to multi-task and work collaboratively in a fast paced, problem solving and deadline-driven environment
- Must be extremely organized, detail oriented and task oriented
- Is Comfortable learning new technologies, tools and platforms
- Has Strong computer skills in MS Office and Windows applications
Duties include:
- Preparing and sending accurate invoices in a timely matter using client-specific formatting
- Coordinating with Project Managers to receive and incorporate their draft invoice comments and reports into final invoices.
- Submitting invoices through client portals
- Coordinating with Subconsultants to ensure their invoices are accurate and meet our clients’ requirements
- Opening and closing projects
- A/R Review and assisting in collection efforts
- Entering and posting sub invoices
- Preparing other reports as necessary
Experience with Deltek Vision or Deltek Vantagepoint is a plus
The compensation for this position ranges from $70,000.00 - $80,000.00. Actual compensation will be dependent upon the specific role, office location as well as the individual’s qualifications, experience, skills and certifications.
