We are seeking a Business Process Consultant (Advanced) for a hybrid role based in Tallahassee, FL. This is a long-term contract with a highly regarded state organization, offering an opportunity to work on transformative IT projects in the Division of Food Safety.
Role Highlights :
Collaborate with stakeholders to design, develop, and implement IT solutions.
Create detailed process models, SWOT analyses, gap analyses, and more.
Facilitate meetings and develop critical documentation for project success.
Q Minimum Qualifications :
Proven ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with staff at all organizational levels.
At least 10 years of professional experience in the IT business / industry.
A minimum of 7 years’ experience conducting business analysis for IT projects.
At least 3 years’ experience managing large-scale software development programs or projects.
Demonstrated expertise in creating process model diagrams.
Experience translating business requirements into detailed use cases, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
Preferred Experience :
Proficiency in leading meetings and discussions involving individuals and groups at various organizational levels, including managers, end users, business-oriented staff, and technical IT teams. Experience with Joint Application Development (JAD) techniques is a plus.
Strong verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly.
Excellent writing skills for both business and technical audiences.
Advanced technical writing capabilities to develop detailed documentation.
Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
Experience in business process re-engineering to optimize workflows and improve efficiency.
Proven ability to derive business process and data requirements through analysis of process and system documentation.
Expertise in translating meeting discussions and written materials into comprehensive process models and process flow diagrams.
Experience creating data dictionaries with proficiency in Microsoft Word and related tools.
