Procurement Manager

My name is Tracy, Sr. Talent Acquisition specialist at TMS. We have a new position for a Procurement Manager for a Company in Oakland. This is for a company that manufacturing by turning recycled materials into high-quality aluminum alloys. As a leader in sustainable, vertical manufacturing, we prioritize quality, customer service,

and environmental responsibility. We are seeking a proactive Procurement and Parts Manager to

manage procurement, inventory, and asset tracking to support our operations and growth. This is not a remote position, this is 5 days a week in the office.

Parts Management & Ordering

• Oversee purchase orders (POs) from creation to tracking
• Verify requisitions for accuracy and policy compliance
• Maintain strong vendor relationships for timely deliveries
• Apply part costs to work orders and provide cost analysis
• Asset Tracking & Management
• Track asset performance, including purchases, service, damage, and downtime
• Maintain accurate asset records in management software
• Prepare performance and usage reports for management
• Maintenance Department Coordination
• Process work orders and obtain manager approval
• Track labor data and non-production work hours
• Ensure accurate preventive maintenance records
• Schedule and monitor maintenance activities
• Inventory & Stock Management
• Monitor inventory levels to avoid shortages or overstock
• Coordinate with Asset Director on procurement forecasts
• Ensure accurate inventory records and storage
• Documentation & Reporting
• Maintain procurement records, including invoices and receipts
• Generate procurement reports on metrics like cost savings and vendor

• Assist in audits with necessary documentation
• Policy Compliance & System Management
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies and regulations
• Implement sustainable sourcing practices
• Use ERP systems to manage workflows and vendor information
• Collaboration
• Work with finance to ensure timely payments and budget compliance
• Coordinate with departments on their purchasing needs
• Act as the primary contact for purchasing inquiries
• Cost Management
• Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality.
  
  

Qualifications

 Proficient in ERP systems, especially Microsoft Dynamics 365, CMMS, and Excel

 Strong negotiation and vendor relationship management skills

 Excellent verbal and written communication

 Highly organized, with strong multitasking and attention to detail

 Ability to analyze data to improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness

 Problem-solving mindset with proactive procurement solutions

Pay And Benefits

This is an hourly position $35 per hour

• Health insurance employer pays 80% for ee and 50% for dependents
• Kaiser grandfathered plan 0 deductible
• Entry 1st of the month after 60 days
• Health insurance includes vision
• dental employer pays 20% for ee and dependents
• Entry 1st of the month after 90 days
• 401k Match up to 5% of gross wage
• January or July following 1 year of service
• Paid Sick leave/ Paid time off (PSL is used for sickness or for time off)
• 1 hour of psl for every 30 worked. Bank can hold up to 80 hours
