Job Title: Sample Administrator
Pay Rate: $20.00/hr (W2-contract)
Location: In-Person - Atlanta, Georgia (Standard business hours 9-5 M-F. Occasionally hours may vary based on business needs.)
Job Description:
In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the quality and safety of ingredients by supporting various laboratory operations. This is a contract position with an initial term of six months with the potential for extension up to 18 months.
What you’ll do for us:
Maintaining a Safe Working Environment
- Be part of a team that prioritizes safety. Follow all laboratory safety guidelines including proper handling and disposal of chemicals wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) and keeping the workspace clean and organized.
Sample Management
- Responsible for the daily receipt inspection and logging of all incoming samples. Organize samples according to type client and project requirements. Accurately enter sample information into a LIMS system
Sample Handling & Preparation
- Prepare and process samples according to established protocols.
- Assist with reference sample extraction for sensory evaluations.
- Ensure proper sample disposal and adherence to hazardous waste disposal guidelines.
Equipment Maintenance & Calibration
- Load and unload laboratory glassware and equipment.
- Ensure thorough cleaning and drying of all laboratory ware.
- Systematically arrange and store equipment in designated locations.
- Perform routine calibrations of designated laboratory equipment.
Laboratory Housekeeping
- Conduct routine cleaning and maintenance of laboratory surfaces equipment and workspaces.
- Adhere to a cleaning checklist and agreed-upon cleaning frequency.
Inventory Management
- Monitor and restock laboratory supplies as needed.
Record Keeping
- Maintain and manage calibration records and Certificates of Analysis (COAs) in the departmental archive system.
Demonstrating Teamwork
- Contribute to fostering collaboration support the team and adopt a growth mindset to help achieve shared business goals.
