As a Junior Financial Planner, you will be part of our advisory team, contributing to investment, financial planning, estate planning, and insurance services. Your key responsibilities include data gathering and analysis, financial planning recommendations, implementation, complex case research, and resolution.
You will anticipate needs, resolve problems, and follow through on deliverables. You will maintain the highest standards of business and professional ethics, legal requirements, and regulatory guidelines. As an excellent communicator, you will grasp others' needs and develop ways to fulfill them.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare well-polished documentation and presentation materials for meetings
- Attend and participate in meetings with prospects and existing clients for notetaking
- Record meeting notes, summarize topics covered, changes in client needs, and action items
- Schedule action items in contact management software
- Complete all action items utilizing firm processes and procedures
- Coordinate financial plan development, including initial data entry and working with the advisory team
- Create quarterly and/or annual client summaries of net worth, estate distribution, insurance, income tax, cash flow projections, and investments
- Research complex situations, set client expectations, and define actions necessary to resolve inquiries
- Investment product research and analysis; evaluate potential solutions and present findings
- Monitor custodian and internal alerts daily for changes
- Continuously monitor client data across various platforms for accuracy and continuity
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, financial planning, or a related field
- 3 years of experience in the wealth management industry, supporting one or more financial advisors
- Industry licenses and/or CFP designation, or desire to obtain
- Familiarity with financial planning software, preferably MoneyGuidePro
- Intermediate-Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Knowledge of industry-specific CRM software
- Able to work independently, think critically, solve problems, and manage a busy workload
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills
