Senior Aviation Maintenance Manager
We are looking for an experienced and driven Senior Aviation Maintenance Manager to oversee and enhance all aspects of our aviation operations. This individual will manage maintenance programs, coordinate logistics, and ensure compliance with industry regulations. Responsibilities:
Oversee all aspects of daily aviation operations, ensuring aircraft maintenance, repairs, and modifications are completed safely and efficiently
Develop and manage maintenance schedules, covering both routine and emergency repairs
Maintain compliance with industry regulations, including FAA requirements, and ensure adherence to company procedures
Lead and supervise a team of aviation maintenance professionals, assigning tasks and managing workflow
Organize regular training for staff on safety procedures, operational protocols, and technical skills
Manage maintenance projects from start to finish, including tracking costs and ensuring deadlines are met
Coordinate with other departments and external partners to maintain smooth operations and efficient communication
Analyze performance data to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to increase efficiency
Promote a strong culture of safety by investigating incidents and implementing measures to prevent recurrence
Supervise off-site repairs and on-call services, ensuring quick and effective responses to operational needs
Support business development efforts by contributing to maintenance and avionics service initiatives
Manage all activities under recognized quality standards and ensure compliance with environmental policies
Qualifications:
A bachelors degree with at least 5-7 years of experience in aircraft maintenance, including a minimum of 3-5 years in a management role, or an associate degree with at least 10-12 years of experience with 3-5 years in management
FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification required; Inspection Authorization (IA) is highly preferred
Strong mechanical knowledge of aircraft systems and experience managing aviation operations in commercial or military settings
Proficiency in industry standards and procedures, with experience under recognized quality management systems
Experience supervising teams, assigning tasks, and ensuring all personnel meet certification and training requirements
Ability to manage and plan for both short-term and long-term maintenance projects
Strong customer service skills and experience working directly with clients to address their needs
Proficiency in using Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in maintenance hangars, flight lines, and office environments
Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles is an advantage
