We are seeking a detail-oriented Closed Door Pharmacy Technician to oversee the handling, storage, and distribution of cold-chain medications in a fulfilment based environment. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations while maintaining medication integrity.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and document temperature and humidity levels in storage areas to protect medication quality.
- Coordinate the accurate receiving, storage, and inventory of cold-chain medications and shipping supplies.
- Collaborate with pharmacists and suppliers for timely fulfillment of medication orders.
- Assist with inventory management, including regular counts and expiration date checks.
- Conduct routine audits and maintenance of cold-chain equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Manage daily replenishment of shipping supplies, including phase-changing materials.
- Accurately fill prescription orders, including medication retrieval, counting, labeling, and packaging.
- Verify prescription details for accuracy and completeness.
- Maintain compliance with pharmacy regulations, including HIPAA and safety protocols.
- Support quality assurance measures to uphold medication storage and handling standards.
- Dispose of pallets and manage inventory using a first-in, first-out (FIFO) system.
- Perform additional tasks and projects as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
- Dependable and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Comfortable lifting, carrying, and moving boxes throughout the shift.
- Strong time management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Over 2 years of experience as a pharmacy technician or similar experience.
- Previous experience in pharmaceutical warehousing and cold-chain product management.
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology, medications, and dosage forms.
- Familiarity with pharmacy management software.
- Over 1 year of experience in inventory management.
- Understanding of pharmacy regulations, including HIPAA compliance.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- This role operates in a well-lit mail-order distribution pharmacy warehouse.
- Requires standing for extended periods, lifting up to 20 pounds, and using computers and barcode scanners.
- Personal protective equipment (gloves, masks, eye protection) may be required when necessary.

Schedule:
- Full-time position with an 8-hour shift between 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM on a rotating schedule.
