Job Title : Corporate Counsel, M&A
Location : Fully Remote
Salary : Base $180K-$220K, plus 15-30% bonus

About Company / Opportunity :
We are an innovative entertainment company empowering artists and labels. We seek a Corporate Counsel specializing in M&A to lead acquisitions in the music industry, including record labels, publishing rights, and other key assets. This role works closely with our Corporate Development and M&A teams, as well as external counsel, to ensure smooth, successful transactions.
Responsibilities :
- Provide comprehensive legal support throughout M&A transactions, from deal structuring to integration.
- Draft, review, and negotiate transaction documents.
- Conduct due diligence on contracts and intellectual property.
- Coordinate across departments and manage relationships with external counsel.
- Advise executive leadership on legal risks and compliance during acquisitions.
- Facilitate integration, ensuring compliance with corporate governance and intellectual property laws. Must-Have Skills :
- JD degree
- Member of the California State Bar
- 3-10 years of experience in M&A transactions
- Experience in entertainment / music law
- Expertise in intellectual property and music licensing, with strong drafting and negotiation skills
- Proven ability to manage complex deals
