Responsibilities:
- Conduct hydrologic and hydraulic analysis for floodplains, floodways, bridges, and culverts
- Identify flood problem areas and develop engineered solutions
- Design stormwater systems for municipal and roadway projects
- Develop soil erosion and sediment control plans
- Lead technical aspects of projects, managing engineers and collaborating across disciplines
- Perform calculations, modeling, report preparation, and cost estimation
- Ensure quality control, mentor junior staff, and maintain strong client relationships
- Report to the Vice President of Water Resources
Must-Have Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
- 6-15 years of water resources engineering experience
- PE license (Illinois and/or Indiana)
- Proficiency in HEC-RAS, SWMM, and MicroStation
- Strong communication and technical skills
Nice to Have Skills:
- Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM)
- AutoCAD experience
- Experience with municipal and highway drainage design
