Our Client is a a fast-paced consumer PR agency hiring a a self-motivated Account Supervisor, Corporate Communications to support work for a major retail brand.

The role involves driving communications strategy, storytelling and programming for everything that goes into selling and shopping online – such as small business seller empowerment, seller tools and resources, brand protection, store safety and more.

This is a high visibility, high growth opportunity role and involves a mix of media relations, client relations, project management and developing strategic communications plans and messaging. The ideal candidate will have earned media strategy expertise, as well as knowledge and experience with corporate communications and the retail space.

Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities :

Client / Account Work

  • Demonstrate strong writing, editing, presentation and interpersonal communication skills
  • Show integrity and good judgment when working with colleagues and clients
  • Ability to articulate and distill highly technical subject matters into clear and concise narratives for a wider audience
  • Ability to effectively analyze complex situations, client asks, or results and communicate recommendations effectively to team and clients
  • Reporting and metrics; provide analysis to clients of program results
  • Accommodate and anticipate client needs; make recommendations to clients
  • Respond to requests for information from clients in a timely manner
  • Participate in client calls, meetings, presentations to the client and client brainstorms; attend client events

Media Strategy

Provide earned media counsel and conduct proactive media outreach, for announcements and relationship-building purposes

  • Maintain relationships with key contacts; leverage those relationships to obtain desired media coverage on behalf of the clients
  • Understand the clients’ business and relevant industry trends and use the information to develop strategic earned media storytelling ideas
  • Team and Agency Leadership

  • Manage people and projects to deliver high quality results on-time and on-budget
  • Serve as a representative of the client and agency on-site at client events
  • Develop creative ideas and tactical elements for client programs
  • Assist account team leads with account financials and budgeting
  • Effectively delegate work amongst junior team members
  • Travel to client and event locations; meet with clients at their office locations / headquarters
  • Requirements

  • B.A. in Public Relations, Journalism, Communications or the like
  • 4-6 years of relevant communications experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
  • In order to comply with equal pay and salary transparency laws in various locations, the Company believes the target base compensation for this role is $85,000 - $100,000. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and location
