Seismic is a boutique marketing agency that specializes in building high-performance Influencer Marketing campaigns and communities for brands.

Influencer marketing has grown significantly over the last few years and is now considered an established media channel by many large brands.  This channel has huge potential, but also lots of friction and failure points.  By combining institutional knowledge with data science and proprietary technology, Seismic delivers performance-driven influencer marketing campaigns that work seamlessly for brands, creators, and audiences alike.   This model has enabled us to grow significantly since our inception and has fueled an unusually high client satisfaction and renewal rate.  With a double digit annual growth rate over the last few years, our company is growing quickly.

About the Role

We are looking for an Account Executive who has the drive and ambition to become a full fledged outside sales person.  However in order to get you up to speed you will spend the first 3 months learning our process and getting to know our systems.  You will also work in an inside sales and account management capacity, managing existing customer accounts and acting as a link between them and our agency. You will be the key contact of your assigned brands in a variety of industries.  These clients are already growing their businesses by partnering with key creators via Seismic.

Your work will be essential to preserving customer satisfaction through listening to preferences and addressing them with fruitful advice and services. The ideal candidate will be an empathic listener and problem solver with a customer-service mindset. This role currently reports to the Head of Revenue and is bonus-eligible. We are a remote-friendly team with offices in Oakland, CA.  

In this job you will…

  • Forge and build relationships with Brand partners, growing their business within the agency
  • Learn to deeply understand client needs and translate those needs into effective campaigns in collaboration with our Talent and Campaign Planning team
  • Proactively network to attract new brands (following your three month onboarding period)
  • Negotiate budgets and deadlines and manage expectations both internally and externally. 
  • Be responsible for distributing detailed campaign performance reports to brands 
  • Have the relationship building skills and the EQ to understand the uniquely different objectives of brands and creators and be able to empathize with and manage both effectively
  • Understand the value and the mindset to successfully developing strong and long-term client relationship

You may be a good fit if you have…

  • 3 years of sales, prospecting, or account management in the marketing, advertising, or social media space with a knowledge of social platforms, creators and the influencer media space preferred.
  • Experience managing expectations in an influencer agency or talent management company or other middleman business where a two-sided transaction  (ie selling to both brands and creators) is required
  • Experience working with high profile creators and a deep knowledge of creator content is ideal
  • The ability to quickly develop relationships with key stakeholders through empathetic listening and client service

Compensation

Base compensation: $75-100k plus bonus plan
