Sr. Analyst, Business Insights & Analytics
TalentoHC has partnered with a large organization that services customers throughout the globe on a Sr Analyst in their Business Insights team. The Senior Business Analyst is responsible for analyzing and reporting on sales performance, including evaluating promotions, enhancing transactional data capabilities, and automating sales tracking systems. This role involves managing projects by collaborating with stakeholders to define objectives, develop analytical models, and ensure compliance with business requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting analytics initiatives through documentation, testing, and tool demonstrations.
- Conducting ad hoc analyses and forecasting to optimize inventory and assess promotional strategies.
- Collaborating with the IS team to maintain data integrity and improve data collection processes across business intelligence environments.
- This role requires a strategic mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to work across teams to drive actionable insights and operational improvements.
Responsibilities
- Analyze sales performance of national promotions to established KPI's
- Design models and/or report to support needs across the sales organization with the goal to improve financial performance
- Perform necessary analysis across multiple markets, interpret results, and present findings
- Automate and maintain sales trackers and set up promotion and test parameters as needed
- Collaborate with stakeholders and management to scope objectives and develop reports and/or models
- Document findings in business requirement documents describing deliverable and technical specifications and validate test deliverables
- Ad hoc analyses; design and develop a variety of company reports such as topline sales, ideal GP, waste and loss, and price elasticity
- Assist in promotion planning and inventory management in optimizing revenue through the review, analysis, and validation of select items
- Review pre-sales and promotional sales indexing data for limited time offers to facilitate product placement within distribution center
- Isolate and troubleshoot data integrity problems across the business intelligence environment and collaborate with IT to leverage BI platforms to automate as much as possible
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Business Analytics, data science, or related field
- 3 years of experience in data analytics and data insights
- Excellent data storytelling skills, able to understand data and provide insights to your audience
- Ability to build strong working relationships with the business, IT, vendors, and other team members and executives
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
- Proficiency with MS Office (Excel), BI tools (tableau or PowerBI)
- Experience with SQL query development highly preferred
- Working knowledge of Python preferred
