Job Summary :

Our client is looking for a Business Development Manager to drive growth within the Data Center sector on the East Coast . This role is critical in ensuring customers receive the power, heating, and cooling solutions they need. The ideal candidate is a sales professional with experience in the full sales cycle , a strong background in B2B sales , and knowledge of construction and data center builds .

Key Responsibilities :

  • Drive business development and lead generation in the Data Center sector
  • Conduct cold calling, account management, presentations, and deal closings
  • Maintain records of sales contacts, meetings, opportunities, proposals, and orders
  • Sell equipment rental and services to data center customers
  • Develop and execute an annual territory sales plan
  • Collaborate with operations and logistics teams to ensure project execution and completion
  • Maintain a general understanding of power generators, diesel engines, electrical distribution equipment, HVAC equipment, and oil-free air compressors
  • Must-Have Qualifications :

  • 7-10 years of direct B2B sales experience
  • Full sales cycle experience
  • Proven success developing new accounts and selling solutions in a structured corporate setting
  • Strong knowledge of construction and data center builds
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills
  • Proficiency with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce)
  • Ability to partner with internal teams (Operations, Fleet, Logistics)
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Nice-to-Have Qualifications :

  • Experience in Building and Construction Services
  • Knowledge of Power and Rental Generation
  • Track record of achieving large quotas of booked business
  • Expertise in value-based solution selling , rather than transactional sales
