Our client is looking for a Business Development Manager to drive growth within the Data Center sector on the East Coast . This role is critical in ensuring customers receive the power, heating, and cooling solutions they need. The ideal candidate is a sales professional with experience in the full sales cycle , a strong background in B2B sales , and knowledge of construction and data center builds .

Key Responsibilities :
Drive business development and lead generation in the Data Center sector
Conduct cold calling, account management, presentations, and deal closings
Maintain records of sales contacts, meetings, opportunities, proposals, and orders
Sell equipment rental and services to data center customers
Develop and execute an annual territory sales plan
Collaborate with operations and logistics teams to ensure project execution and completion
Maintain a general understanding of power generators, diesel engines, electrical distribution equipment, HVAC equipment, and oil-free air compressors
Must-Have Qualifications :
7-10 years of direct B2B sales experience
Full sales cycle experience
Proven success developing new accounts and selling solutions in a structured corporate setting
Strong knowledge of construction and data center builds
Outstanding communication and presentation skills
Proficiency with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce)
Ability to partner with internal teams (Operations, Fleet, Logistics)
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Nice-to-Have Qualifications :
Experience in Building and Construction Services
Knowledge of Power and Rental Generation
Track record of achieving large quotas of booked business
Expertise in value-based solution selling , rather than transactional sales
