Overview :
The Senior Civil Engineering Project Manager oversees projects from the proposal stage through to construction completion.
Responsibilities include managing all technical aspects of infrastructure projects, ensuring quality control and assurance, and coordinating with project teams and consultants.
The role involves direct interaction with clients during the pursuit, design, and construction phases and includes representing the organization at industry forums and events.
This position is based in the Columbia, South Carolina office.
Key Responsibilities :
Project Management :
Lead the design and management of infrastructure projects, ensuring accuracy and completion of designs.
Oversee multiple design elements, including plans, surveys, and system components.
Prepare comprehensive project documentation, including plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
Apply standard techniques, solve problems, and ensure timely and budget-friendly project delivery.
Develop project proposals, reports, and related documentation.
Attend project meetings, presenting engineering updates and resolving project issues.
Coordinate technical and administrative activities across teams and disciplines.
Ensure project activities comply with contracts, schedules, and budgets.
Prepare status reports, change orders, and maintain milestone tracking.
Mentor junior staff on design standards and project management best practices.
Business Development :
Support marketing efforts and participate in industry networking.
Assist in identifying potential clients and preparing project scopes and fee proposals.
Collaborate with clients, officials, contractors, and project team members.
Qualifications :
Working knowledge of AutoCAD and with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
Proficiency with MS Outlook, MS Excel, and MS Word.
Licensure :
Valid driver’s license.
Professional Engineer (PE) license, with eligibility for licensure in additional states.

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil engineering.
