Our client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Accounting Manager to join their dynamic team. Key Responsibilities
- Reconciliations: Oversee the preparation and timely submission of accurate financial account reconciliations, including (but not limited to) bank, prepaid, and liability accounts.
- General Ledger Maintenance: Ensure the integrity and accuracy of the general ledger, including month-end and year-end closing processes, reconciliations, and journal entries.
- Internal Controls: Partner with the Controller to ensure proper internal controls within the Finance function work appropriately.
- Audit Coordination: Coordinate and support external and internal audits, ensuring timely and accurate information is provided and any issues are promptly addressed.
- Team Leadership: Lead a team of accounting professionals, providing direction and support to ensure high performance and professional development.
- Tax Compliance: Partner with tax professionals to ensure proper compliance with their tax reporting requirements.
- Financial Analysis: Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings and operational improvements.
- ERP System Management: Manage and optimize the use of ERP systems for financial reporting and analysis
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required. A Master's degree or CPA certification is highly preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle), as well as advanced Excel skills.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Strong knowledge of GAAP and other relevant accounting standards and regulations.
- Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
- Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively present financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of accounting and financial reporting.
