We are seeking an experienced Senior Marine Electrician to join our team in the shipyards of San Diego. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in marine electrical systems, with a strong focus on installation, maintenance, and repair work.
Responsibilities :
- Installation and Maintenance :
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems on various types of marine vessels, including commercial, military, and recreational ships.
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical systems and components.
- Troubleshooting and Repair :
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues, including short circuits, faulty wiring, and equipment malfunctions.
- Repair or replace defective electrical components, such as wiring, connectors, and circuit breakers.
- System Upgrades and Modifications :
- Upgrade and modify existing electrical systems to meet new specifications or improve performance.
- Install new electrical systems and components according to technical drawings and manufacturer specifications.
- Safety Compliance :
- Ensure all electrical work complies with relevant safety standards and regulations.
- Conduct safety checks and tests on installed systems to guarantee operational safety.
- Documentation and Reporting :
- Maintain accurate records of all work performed, including maintenance logs and repair reports.
- Provide detailed reports on electrical system status and recommend necessary actions or improvements.
- Team Leadership :
- Mentor and guide junior electricians, providing technical assistance and training as needed.
