Service Manager – Commercial Roofing
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Service Manager to join our leadership team at a leading Commercial Roofing organization. This customer-facing role is critical to the success of our service operations, requiring a balance of leadership, technical expertise, and business acumen. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in estimation, sales, and managing teams of 10 or more in a fast-paced environment.
Compensation:
- $110,000 - $130,000 annually, based on experience.
- Performance-based bonuses and benefits package available.
Leadership & Team Management
- Lead, mentor, and manage a service team of 10 employees, including technicians, estimators, and administrative staff.
- Foster a positive and results-driven culture by setting clear performance expectations and providing regular feedback.
- Oversee recruitment, training, and professional development initiatives for team members.
- Monitor and optimize team workflows to maximize efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Estimation & Sales
- Oversee and participate in creating accurate and competitive estimates for repair, maintenance, and service projects.
- Review and approve job scopes, material lists, and labor costs to ensure profitability.
- Drive sales by identifying opportunities, building customer relationships, and presenting tailored solutions to meet client needs.
- Partner with the sales team to develop and execute strategies for revenue growth in the service department.
Customer Relationship Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for key service clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and prompt issue resolution.
- Maintain and grow strong client relationships by understanding customer needs and delivering consistent, high-quality service.
- Represent the company professionally in client meetings, site visits, and industry events.
Operational Oversight
- Develop and manage budgets for the service department, ensuring profitability and cost control.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as response times, job completion rates, and customer satisfaction scores.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to align department goals with overall business objectives.
Qualifications:
Required Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years in a service management or leadership role within the commercial roofing or construction industry.
- Strong experience in estimating and preparing detailed proposals for commercial roofing projects.
- Proven track record in sales, including client acquisition and retention.
- Demonstrated success in managing teams of 10 or more employees.
Skills & Competencies:
- Exceptional leadership and team-building skills.
- Advanced knowledge of commercial roofing systems, materials, and repair techniques.
- Proficient in industry software and tools for estimation and project management.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
