Jr. Estimator

• Knowledge of (or capability to learn) various online bidding platforms.
• Candidates must be able to work independently on multiple projects while meeting deadlines and professionally communicating with clients.
• 0-2 years of civil estimating preferred but not required. We will train the right candidate.
• 0-2 years of civil quantity takeoff experience preferred, but not required. We will train the right candidate.
• Ability to effectively read and analyze civil blueprints and review the scope of the project.
• Facilitate preconstruction planning upon award of projects.
• Work with the purchasing department to acquire pre-bid material quotes.
• Coordinate with the project management team to prepare, process and follow through on project change orders.
• Maintain official project documentation and correspondence professionally, from project launch through the closing of the project.
• Must Be Authorized to work in the United States.

• Review project plans, specifications, and documents to understand the scope and requirements.
• Perform accurate quantity take-offs for materials, labor, and equipment related to underground utilities.
• Assist in preparing cost estimates and competitive bids, working with senior estimators to ensure accuracy and competitiveness.
• Collect and organize data for bid proposals, ensuring compliance with project requirements and timelines.
• Identify potential risk factors within the scope of work and provide input for risk assessments.
• Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain pricing and availability of materials and services.
• Review and compare subcontractor quotes, ensuring alignment with project specifications and budget constraints.
• Assist with cost analysis, budgeting, and financial reporting for estimates.
• Support the tracking and recording of bid results for ongoing improvement and feedback.
• Maintain organized project files and documentation for future reference.
• Participate in team meetings and collaborate with project managers, engineers, and senior estimators to align on project goals.
