Our client in the Hospitality Industry has identified the need to develop an internal communications department. Within this role the success candidate will manage internal and external communications throughout the organization on behalf of their allocated business units. Working closely with senior management, the communications manager will develop key communications by developing key messages, creating stories and tailoring the message to the various audiences throughout the organization and beyond.
Writing speeches, preparing annual reports, writing financial bulletins, preparing community newsletters and managing communications to stakeholders groups is all part of the role. Using multi communication channels from intranet and email to town halls and presentations, the communications manager must understand the options available and be able to develop a clear, concise communications plan to maximize the impact of the message.

Qualifications:
- Minimum five (5) years professional experience in Corporate Communications, Media Relations, Marketing or related field across online and offline media
- 3 years of professional experience leading a communications team, working with Sr. Leaders across various departments.
- Experience working within matrix organizations with multiple stakeholders.
- Project Management Experience is an asset
- Post-secondary education in Communications or equivalent is preferred.
