Key Responsibilities
- Develop strong expertise in a variety of door vendors and products.
- Oversee project detailing, including creating pricing, identifying design/specification errors, and maintaining clear communication with clients.
- Estimate material requirements for projects in accordance with company policies and building codes.
- Evaluate existing door conditions, identify deficiencies, and propose corrective action plans to ensure compliance.
- Collaborate with operations to estimate and price commercial doors, frames, and hardware.
- Perform commercial door, frame, and hardware take-offs.
- Support the sales team with expert knowledge during estimating and project buy-out phases.
- Lead efforts in blueprint reading, specification interpretation, and ensuring proper construction procedures are followed.
- Compare actual material usage to estimates after project completion to refine future planning.
Additional Support Tasks
- Provide verification of orders and document reviews when needed.
- Assist teams in evaluating project changes or revised documents.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, architecture, finance, or accounting preferred.
- At least 7 years of experience specializing in Doors, Frames, and Hardware.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Proven track record of meeting deadlines and achieving results with minimal supervision.
- A commitment to maintaining high professional and personal standards.
