TalentTeam is looking for The Right MAINTENANCE MECHANIC / FOREMAN for our Industrial Ice Melter and Laundry Detergent client in Salt Lake City.
PURPOSE
Under direct supervision, performs routine servicing and rebuilding of a variety of production machinery and equipment. Must have strong analytical abilities.
This is a Long Term, Contract to-hire position.

Schedule : M-F 7 : 00am 3 : 30pm. Some Saturdays or after business hours may apply.
Wage : $38.00 / hr.
You need to pass Drug Test, Background Check and an Interview.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Perform routine servicing of production machinery and equipment including systems for air handling, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical. Ensures that preventative maintenance programs are followed.
Performs routine rebuilding of machinery and equipment when more extensive maintenance is required.
Troubleshoots machinery and equipment malfunctions and replaces defective parts.
Will perform facilities maintenance.
Plans and paces own work efficiently in order to meet daily, weekly, project, or team related productivity goals.
Responds attentively to training from the plant manager and other maintenance technicians in order to increase their own knowledge of maintenance and repair processes.
Understands and observes all safety procedures and practices in order to prevent injury to self or co-workers. Attends or holds periodic safety meetings as needed.
Other duties may be assigned or needed as situation or company need dictates.
Competencies
Knowledge if ad ability to use hand and power tools
Manual Dexterity
Experience in trouble-shooting machinery malfunctions
Ability to communicate with part suppliers and manufacturers or third-party consultants
Possess basic computer skills
Knowledge of safety procedures while performing maintenance tasks
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions without needing oversight
Ability to read and understand machine equipment diagrams and system schematics
Ability to communicate directions clearly and effectively to the production team and management
Minimum Requirements
High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and 2 plus years of related experience, or the equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience within a small to mid-sized privately owned manufacturer as a Maintenance Manager is preferred
