We are looking for top talent in Maryland to lead our studio.
YogaSix Potomac is hiring a Part-Time Lead Yoga Teacher to join our team of professionals. Working in partnership with the franchise owner and other professional staff, the Lead Yoga Teacher will report to and support the Studio Manager by hiring and onboarding teachers, coaching teachers, and working with the Studio Manager to create and maintain the studio's programming and schedule. YogaSix Lead Yoga Teachers are experienced, passionate, and dedicated professionals who are looking for a way to get more involved, beyond teaching classes, privates, and workshops. This part-time position includes a flexible, rolling schedule as you are tasked with taking classes and offering feedback (using YogaSix's empowering, student-focused approach) to other teachers on the team.

DESCRIPTION
Job Title : Lead Teacher
Reports to : Studio Manager
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE :
- Maintain a consistent presence while teaching and practicing at the studio
- Have a strong understanding of YogaSix core formats, as well as distinguishing features between formats, and be signed off on all 6 core class types
- Recruit, hire, train, supervise, coach, and mentor teachers
- Review sequences submitted for non-set formats (Y6 101, Y6 Slow Flow, Y6 Restore, Y6 Power, Y6 Sculpt & Flow) and provide feedback to teachers and Studio Manager
- Audit existing teachers' classes in various class formats for continued support
- Coach teachers in a supportive, empowering way by illuminating areas of growth and acknowledging areas of skill
- Lead in-house meetings / workshops for training and education purposes
- Teach a minimum of 4 yoga classes (minimum of 3 different formats) in studio per week
- Additionally, teaching responsibilities include :
- Delivering exceptional classes by providing top-notch class instruction, building connection & community, and creating a personal connection with each student
- Arrive to studio prepared to connect with students a minimum of 15 minutes before class start time
- Set up and manage the practice room appropriately : Props, Mat Spacing, Music, Lighting
- Create a class experience that shows your personality and skills while adhering to the Yoga Six standards and guidelines for each of the YogaSix core class types
- Demonstrate the ability to teach a safe, fun, and creative class with a genuine interest in student success, whether novice or seasoned practitioner
- Follow up with students after class- 15 minutes
- Clean practice room space and prop room after each class, leaving the room as neat as you found it
- Support studio success (though extra attention of new students during their trial period, event promotion, and knowledge of special programs that are offered)
