Clinical Scheduling Specialist

The Clinical Scheduling Specialist is responsible for ensuring that incoming orders are entered, scheduled, dispatched and resulted efficiently and expeditiously. Working as an extension of the customer’s team, heavy focus on organization and customer service is needed to ensure that all customer and / or patient concerns are addressed urgently. The ideal candidate will have diligent attention to detail, excellent written and verbal communication skills and be self-motivated to achieve daily scheduling goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work closely with clinic staff and providers to ensure all orders are entered within ordering platform quickly and accurately.
  • Work with Dispatching team to assign out orders to field technicians.
  • Communicate with clinic staff to address any questions or missing information on Incoming orders.
  • Schedule, via phone, all patient orders based on route schedules and customer needs.
  • Track orders daily, uploading results to clinic EMR and following up on missing results to ensure quick resolution.
  • Address and / or escalate any patient or customer Issues In a timely manner
  • Maintain detailed notes on all customer interactions and scheduled draws

REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma
  • Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc)
  • Must have excellent phone and email communication skills
  • Must have keen attention to details, a can-do attitude and ability to problem solve independently
  • Previous medical / clinic experience preferred.
