Immediate opening for a Field Application Scientist with a biotech company in Philadelphia, PA who possesses : -BA or BS in Biology, Engineering, Biotechnology or related scientific field required.-5 years of laboratory experience working with cell culturing, 3 years of experience with robotics workflow for cell growth-Previous sales or upselling experience is a plus.-Previous experience working as a FAS with large pharma companies is a plus Email resumes to acannon@ FULL DESCRIPTION : The selected candidate will be responsible for : -Proven experience knowledge with robotics / labware working with , mammalian, or other cell types (learn other organisms), and insect cells for developing and guiding customers through protocols (application notes / guide, and demonstrations) This includes cellular growth, clarification / concentration, and purification-Organizing product demonstrations together with the corresponding sales executive-Assist with sales team in the development of accounts by giving technical seminars and presentations that promote the use of our products.-Able to work from a remote home office with travel up to 25%. Work is defined 75% in the New England Area-Diagnose and resolve product performance problems and customer queries / complaints.-Training salespeople on company products and bringing them up to a certain level of proficiency-Guiding them through technical nuisances with the products-Presenting and writing application notes on products-Supporting the sales activities at tradeshows and conferences-Maintain up-to-date technical expertise and in-depth knowledge of our product portfolio and scientific developments in robotics / labware used in cellular growth, clarification / concentration, purification, and related subjects-Build trust with our customers and excel in customer service-Work on and thinking of new products for improving workflow.-Working with CEO and others on products-Addressing automation needs, filtration abilities and need-Understanding competitive area, and addressing advantages-Work with sales management to address top 30 customers in territory supported, and will help salesperson understand what opportunities maybe needed application wise The selected candidate will also possess : -BA or BS in Biology, Engineering, Biotechnology, or related scientific field-3 years experience working with Robotics, and labware for , mammalian, and insect cells-Experience in , insect cells, mammalian, cell culture, clarification, and purification-Strong verbal and written communication skills (good grammar, spelling, etc.)-College level math skills-5 or more years of laboratory working with cells for growth-Highly proficient in use of PC software including MSOffice, PowerPoint, Work, and advanced Excel skills-Knowledge in robotics and labware Salary Range : $130k-140k / yr For immediate and confidential consideration, please email your resume to acannon@
