JOB TITLE: Custodian
LOCATION: Houston, TX
POSITION REPORTS TO: Administrative Services Manager
SCHEDULE: Hours TBD (Mon-Fri) Weekends may be required.
WAGES: Hourly. Commensurate with experience and skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Clean assigned areas within the Corporate and off-site offices, warehouse, and outside facilities
· Carry cleaning supplies, using wheeled carts or by hand as needed
· Mix water and detergents or other in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications, and follow directions for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to avoid damage to furniture and/or fixtures
· Cleaning duties include, but are not limited to, laundry, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, polishing furniture, and fixtures, cleaning windows and mirrors, dusting, scouring bathrooms, and trash removal
· Other related tasks as assigned by manager
BASIC REQUIREMENTS
· Must be local to Houston (live within 60 miles)
· Must be able to lift/move/maneuver up to 50 pounds
· Must be able to effectively use industrial equipment such as floor buffers and industrial floor washers
· Must be able to work between 8 to 10 hours per day in extreme weather conditions, on your feet, standing, walking, bending, stooping, lifting and reaching
· Must be willing to work overtime and weekends if needed, and possible shift rotation if needed
· Ability to speak, read and write in English well enough to complete assignments, and communicate with supervisor and employees
· Knowledge and/or experience necessary to ensure proper use of all equipment and supplies
· Professional appearance and demeanor
· Stable employment history
· Must be able to pass background screening
· Must have a Valid driver’s license with good driving record
