Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The CNC Programmer will play a crucial role in ensuring high-quality production while adhering to lean manufacturing principles.
Duties
- Develop and optimize CNC programs for lathes and milling machines using CAM programming software.
- Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine machining requirements and specifications.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments to ensure parts meet quality standards and tolerances.
- Collaborate with the production team to fabricate components efficiently while minimizing waste.
- Troubleshoot and resolve programming or machining issues as they arise during production runs.
- Maintain tooling and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition for optimal performance.
- Implement lean manufacturing practices to improve workflow and reduce cycle times.
- Document processes, changes, and improvements for future reference and training purposes.
Qualifications
- Proficient in CNC programming with experience in Fanuc controls preferred.
- Strong knowledge of machining processes, including lathe operations and tooling selection.
- Familiarity with CAM programming software is highly desirable.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints accurately.
- Experience with precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Understanding of lean manufacturing principles is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
