Social Media Marketing Internship (Unpaid) – TalesByBelle
Are you passionate about storytelling, social media, and promoting diverse narratives through creative digital content? TalesByBelle is seeking a Social Media Marketing Intern (unpaid) to play a key role in growing our online presence and connecting with readers as we launch The Hybrid Princess, a sapphic high-fantasy novel celebrating LGBTQI representation.
This internship is unpaid and remote, with a duration of around 6–8 weeks and the potential for future opportunities. Academic credit can be provided if applicable. This is a spring internship, with a focus on creating engaging campaigns for TalesByBelle across TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube.
Responsibilities
• Develop creative, on-brand content (graphics, reels, and videos) for TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube.
• Assist in planning and executing social media campaigns, including book launches, giveaways, and audience outreach.
• Analyze performance metrics and suggest ways to optimize engagement.
• Research trends in the fantasy genre, LGBTQI culture, and social media to inform content creation.
• Collaborate with the author to brainstorm ideas that elevate the brand’s digital presence.
• Stay up to date with best practices for social media marketing and content creation.
Qualifications
• Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field (or relevant experience).
• Proficiency in social media platforms, particularly TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube.
• Strong writing skills and a creative mindset.
• Experience with graphic design tools like Canva or Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.
• Passion for queer high-fantasy literature and storytelling is highly valued.
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and communicate effectively in a remote environment.
