Lead Mechanic

Talimer’s client, one of the largest landscape management, snow & ice control, interior plantscaping and holiday decorating companies in WI, is looking for an experienced second shift truck mechanic. You’ll be part of a team with some of the best people in the industry servicing some of the most high profile sites around. Duration: Direct Hire

Location: Onsite in Oak Creek, WI

Main responsibility:

• Maintenance and repair vehicles and equipment usual to the commercial landscape and snow removal industry

• Able to work alone and prioritize workload with minimal guidance

• Strong mechanical aptitude and background in landscape industry vehicles and equipment

• Maintain company provided equipment and machinery

• Communicates effectively as necessary with manager, and other technicians to contribute to the overall performance of the location

• Attends all required training, seeks additional training to maintain and increase effectiveness

• Keeps up to date on industry trends and repair procedures

Experience required:

• 3 years experience in gas and diesel truck and construction type equipment repair

• Knowledge of equipment/tool operation and diagnostic/repair procedures

• Possess and utilize good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with vendors, employees, and management, clearly and efficiently

• Basic computer skills in email, MS Excel and Internet

• Must possess a valid Wisconsin Driver's License with a driving record acceptable to the Company's insurance carrier

• Own tools
