Talisman is a full-service engineering and surveying firm established by an experienced team in Salt Lake City in 2016. We specialize in site and land development, utility development, and detailed survey services, including subsurface utility engineering, high-definition LIDAR scanning and aerial photography. To each engineering assignment, we also bring a focused perspective on sustainability for the benefit of the environment and client economics. We do professional civil engineering and land surveying for municipal services, private sector land development, and construction industries. Our firm has built a particularly strong portfolio in resort development, urban redevelopment, higher educational facilities, and utility engineering services.
As we continue to expand, we are seeking a Right-of-Way (ROW) / Land Agent to join our team. This role is critical to acquiring land, securing easements, and coordinating with stakeholders for infrastructure projects that improve transportation, utilities, and urban development in the Wasatch Front.

Responsibilities
- Right-of-Way Acquisition: Negotiate with property owners to secure land, easements, and temporary access agreements.
- Property Research & Due Diligence: Verify ownership, conduct title research, and assess zoning restrictions
- Stakeholder & Community Engagement: Communicate with property owners, municipalities, utility providers, and state agencies.
- Permitting & Compliance: Ensure projects meet UDOT, municipal, and state ROW regulations.
- Utility Coordination: Work with Rocky Mountain Power, Dominion Energy, and telecom providers to relocate utilities as needed.
- Contract & Documentation Management: Prepare and maintain ROW agreements, easements, and legal records.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Business, or a related field (preferred)
- 2 years of experience in ROW acquisition, land negotiations, or utility coordination
- Knowledge of Utah land-use laws, zoning regulations, and eminent domain processes
- Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Proficiency in GIS, mapping software, and real estate transaction management
- IRWA Certification (RWA, SR/WA) or Utah Real Estate License (preferred but not required)
Pay Range

Salary : $100,000 - $150,000
