Key Responsibilities

Lead the origination, structuring, and execution of project finance transactions across sectors like renewable energy, power, utilities, and infrastructure.
Oversee the complete transaction lifecycle, including due diligence, financial modeling, credit analysis, legal documentation, and deal closure.
Build and sustain strong relationships with sponsors, developers, institutional investors, and other stakeholders in the project finance landscape.
Collaborate with internal credit and risk management teams to ensure alignment with the bank's risk appetite and credit policies.
Monitor and manage portfolio performance, including evaluating project risks, covenant compliance, and proactive client engagement.
Act as a mentor and leader within the project finance team, providing guidance to junior staff and fostering team development.
Stay updated on market trends, regulatory changes, and industry developments to identify new business opportunities and maintain a competitive advantage.

Required Skills & Experience

7 years of experience in project finance, investment banking, or a comparable field, with a proven track record of closing complex transactions.

Expertise in financial modeling, credit analysis, and structuring debt or equity solutions for large infrastructure projects.

In-depth knowledge of key sectors, including renewable energy, utilities, and infrastructure, alongside familiarity with emerging trends and technologies.

Demonstrated ability to cultivate client relationships and originate new business opportunities effectively.

Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and communication skills, adept at managing internal and external stakeholders.

Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail, capable of managing multiple transactions simultaneously.

Understanding of regulatory and market considerations impacting project finance, including tax equity, PPA structures, and energy market dynamics.

Preferred Qualifications

Advanced degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related discipline; CFA or similar certifications are advantageous.

Experience within a project finance banking environment or with renewable energy development organizations is desirable.

Background in portfolio management and familiarity with loan syndications is beneficial.
