Head of Pre-Construction & Construction - Project Delivery

Your Role at a Glance

As the Head of Project Delivery, you will oversee the success of C&I solar PV projects, from preconstruction planning to project management, to construction to oversee successful delivery. You'll champion collaboration across teams, ensure best-in-class quality standards, and shape the strategic direction of our project delivery function.

What You’ll Do

Leadership & Team Empowerment:

• Inspire, mentor, and lead a team of directors across preconstruction, project management, and construction.
• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement to achieve excellence in every project.
• Drive innovation by implementing cutting-edge frameworks and best practices to optimize team efficiency and communication.

Preconstruction Excellence:

• Oversee feasibility studies, budgeting, scheduling, and risk management to ensure projects are primed for success.
• Partner with engineering and procurement teams to deliver cost-effective, high-quality designs that align with regulatory standards.
• Ensure seamless transitions between preconstruction and construction phases, identifying risks and opportunities early.

Construction Leadership:

• Deliver solar PV projects on time, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards.
• Champion innovative construction techniques and technologies to improve efficiency and project outcomes.
• Act as a problem solver, collaborating with site teams to resolve challenges quickly and effectively.

Strategic Partnerships:

• Build and maintain strong relationships with EPC partners, vendors, and subcontractors, ensuring collaboration and alignment.
• Negotiate contracts that deliver competitive pricing, exceptional quality, and timely project execution.
• Drive performance reviews with EPC partners, providing feedback to enhance outcomes and maintain high standards.

Financial & Risk Management:

• Lead budget development, cost forecasting, and financial reporting for all projects.
• Mitigate financial risks and manage change orders to protect project margins.

Safety & Compliance:

• Champion a culture of safety, ensuring all projects meet regulatory requirements and exceed safety standards.
• Maintain impeccable compliance documentation to support seamless project delivery.

What We’re Looking For

Experience & Expertise:

• 10 years of leadership experience in construction/project management, with a focus on solar or renewable energy.
• Proven ability to lead and develop senior professionals, driving team success and continuous improvement.
• A stellar track record of delivering large-scale solar PV projects on time and within budget.
• Deep understanding of solar power systems, permitting processes, and regulatory requirements.
• Strong financial acumen and expertise in project management tools (e.g., Procore, Smartsheet, Microsoft Project).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
