Job Description
Title: Instructor, Professional Development Program
Job Description
To provide instruction to adult students on business topics including Macroeconomics, Microeconomics, Marketing, Information Systems, Business Law, Management and others. Most students are non-native English-speakers at the advanced or higher levels of proficiency.
This is a part-time position teaching 18 hours/week. Monday through Thursday from 9:00 am to 1:10 pm and on Mondays two more hours in the afternoon from 1:40 pm to 3:30 pm.
Functions
· Keep records of grades, grade papers, and perform other administrative duties as needed.
· Create projects designed to enhance classes.
· Read and stay abreast of current topics in business.
· Create lesson plans.
· Utilize various curriculum resources.
· Integrate competencies, goals, and objectives into lesson plans.
· Utilize curricula that reflect the diverse educational, cultural, and linguistic backgrounds of the
· students served.
· Develop incentives to keep participants in class.
· Utilize online resources.
Qualifications & Experience Required
· BBA/BS in Business or similar, required.
· Minimum of three months teaching experience;
· Demonstrated teaching and classroom management skills.
The following criteria are highly valued by TALK English Schools:
· Master’s degree in Business Administration, or similar;
· Experience teaching international students and/or having lived abroad.
