JOB DESCRIPTION
POSITION TITLE: E-Learning Specialist/Clerk
Child Care Central
WORKING HOURS: Varies from8:00 A.M. – 4:30 P.M.
Some evenings and Saturdays
Monday – Friday
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
Training * Accountable to Program Director.
- Greets, screens, and assists visitors in Resource Room with equipment and resources in a friendly and courteous manner.
- Compiles 200-300 quarterly activity packs to give providers and puts together literature packs monthly to be given out at each training session.
- Completes any provider requested die-cut list and mail out to them in a timely manner.
- Greets and assists providers online in a friendly and courteous manner.
- Helps to facilitate online classes through the E-Learning Train when necessary.
- Input data information for online learners.
- Proficient knowledge of the computer. (Microsoft Office, Excel, Power Point, etc.)
- Articulates online learning to meet the changing needs of providers under supervision of Quality Program Director.
Reports and Documentation * Maintains log of training participation and provides certificate of completion at the end of online training course.
- Responsible for utilizing evaluation tool after every training effort.
- Compile’s training report for Quality Program Director.
- Keeps mileage log for all business travel in personal automobile.
Communication * Disseminates all public information materials with approval of Program Director as directed.
- Presents information in a clear and concise manner.
- Tone of voice and delivery method of communication is not condescending.
- Make copies and prepare bulk mailings, etc. as needed.
- Links unlicensed providers interested in becoming licensed with appropriate Department of Human Resources licensing staff.
- Receive, screen, and log providers’ telephone calls to appropriate staff.
General * Assumes any and all other duties, as they become necessary for the efficient operation of the agency as assigned by the Quality Program Director.
- Ensures that there shall be no discrimination against any applicant for or recipient of aid, benefits, or services on the basis of color, religion, sex, age, or national origin.
- Demonstrate a positive, professional attitude and image within the local community; is always courteous and helpful to providers and staff members.
- Performs other and all job-related duties as required or assigned by supervisor.
- Follows the Code of Conduct from TCR Employee Manuel.
- Takes appropriate action by reporting to Quality Program Director any problems or concerns.
EDUCATIONAL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and determine priorities to accomplish tasks.
- AA degree in Child Development. Preferred: BA/BS degree in Child Development/Early Childhood Education.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- The capacity to prioritize tasks and work under pressure.
- The ability to work on own initiative.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing workloads.
- Must demonstrate patience and the ability to work with people of varying skills and abilities.
- Knowledgeable of adult training techniques and methods of delivery.
- Must agree to abide by TCR Policy and Procedures manual.
- Must maintain confidentiality of information regarding children and families.
- Must clear State Child Abuse/Neglect registry check and criminal background check. Willingness to work evenings and Saturdays as needed.
- Must have current driver’s license and proof of current automobile liability insurance of vehicle used in the performance of job.
- Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs., bend & stoop to perform job duties.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $31,000.00 - $42,000.00 per year
