We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will assist healthcare professionals in the specialty office setting.
Responsibilities:
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments.
- Take and record vital signs, medical histories, and patient symptoms accurately.
- Prepare examination rooms and ensure all necessary supplies and equipment are available.
- Perform basic laboratory tests and procedures as instructed.
- Administer injections under the direction of healthcare providers.
- Handle patient inquiries, concerns, and scheduling of follow-up appointments.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and clinic areas.
- Obtain MRI and medication authorizations as ordered by physican and/or extender.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a medical assistant or in a similar role in a healthcare setting.
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or relevant experience.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks.
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) and basic computer skills.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures.
