What are the responsibilities and job description for the Therapy Services Representative - Panama City, FL position at Tallahassee Orthopedic Clinic?
TOC is currently seeking a Therapy Services Representative for a full-time position in our Panama City location.
Duties include greeting patients; verifying demographics and insurance information; obtaining initial authorizations & referrals, preparation of all documentation for visits, and scheduling all therapy for new & established patient appointments. Assists with front office check-in processes as needed including collecting co-pays, co-insurances and outstanding balances due, as well as balancing and batching all cash, checks, and credit card charges collected. Applicants must have basic knowledge of insurance plans and medical terminology; the ability to multi-task and perform as an effective team member, as well as independently, for optimal patient care. In addition, applicants must be able to prioritize, have effective communication skills, and EXCEPTIONAL customer service skills.
Prior medical office experience a plus.
