Civil Litigation Associate (Salary Quarterly bonus)
Tallant Howell is a reputable law firm located in Cumming, Georgia. The firm is looking to expand and is seeking a personable, motivated, and skilled civil litigation attorney to join the team. A successful candidate will be a self-starter, have excellent writing skills, and a well demonstrated interest in litigation. Caseload will include Fiduciary Litigation, Property Litigation, Business Litigation and Government Litigation.
The ideal associate will have between two - and five years’ experience in one or all of the above-mentioned areas. Salary will be determined based on the candidate's experience and qualifications.
Responsibilities
- Represent businesses and individuals on a variety of legal matters.
- Handle important contract disputes.
- Provide knowledgeable and relatable input to assigned cases.
- Show a great attention to detail and communication with client and primary attorney on the case.
- Work on real property disputes.
- Assist with Government representation.
- Conduct legal research and draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
- Provide support in case management.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the Georgia State Bar and in good standing.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with Lexis .
- Microsoft suite skillset.
- Self-starter who exhibits a sense of urgency on behalf of client’s needs.
- Effectively prioritize work and business needs.
- Excellent oral, interpersonal, and writing skills in English.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet urgent deadlines.
