JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB TITLE: Child Nutrition Program (CNP) - Manager
REPORTS TO: Principal/CNP Coordinator
SALARY: Per the Salary Matrix
CONTRACT LENGTH: 192 days - 8 hours per day
QUALIFICATIONS:
High School diploma or equivalent.
Experience in Child Nutrition Program preferred.
Must meet background clearance requirements.
Ability to possess and maintain ServSafe certification.
Ability to use technology as required to perform job responsibilities.
Ability to exhibit leadership, organizational, collaborative, and planning skills while overseeing assigned personnel.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintains adequate and accurate records and controls including personnel, financial, inventories, operational, and purchasing of food, supplies and equipment.
Supervises and assists in preparation and service of food while ensuring menus are followed as planned to comply with the USDA Meal Pattern requirements.
Maintains a sanitary operation in compliance with Alabama Department of Public Health regulations.
Models and encourages CNP employees to dress appropriately and observe high standards of grooming, safety, and effective work habits.
Purchases food and supplies wisely and verifies orders and invoices for quality, quantity, accuracy of weight and price upon delivery.
Outlines specific duties and work schedules for CNP personnel.
Supervises and assists in the storage and care of food.
Participates in and promotes professional development training.
Instructs and supervises employees on the safe and correct use and maintenance of equipment.
Exhibit interpersonal skills to work as an effective team member.
Fosters a welcoming and positive atmosphere in the cafeteria that encourages participation from both students and faculty.
Submits reports, records, and correspondence in a timely and accurate manner.
Demonstrates regular and punctual attendance.
Communicate effectively with the public, staff members, students, parents, administrators, and other contact persons using tact and good judgment.
Adhere to all policies and procedures as set forth by both the Alabama State Department of Education and Tallassee City Schools.
Maintain confidentiality regarding school/workplace matters.
Performs other job related duties as assigned by supervisor.
