Responsibilities
As a cellar intern, your responsibilities will include general sanitation of the winery, receiving, weighing, sorting, and processing fruit, operating pumps, and performing punch downs and pump-overs. You will also be responsible for transferring wine and juice from tank to tank, removing pomace from tanks and press, operating presses, filling and topping barrels, and other cellar tasks as assigned. Forklift experience is beneficial but not essential.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you must possess strong verbal communication skills, be able to lift 50 pounds, and have experience with pump operations or willingness to learn. Previous winery experience is preferred but not required. Forklift experience is also beneficial but not essential.
