Responsibilities:
•Analyze liens, plat books, contracts, agreements, surveys, maps, public records, and leases to verify ownership, legal description, and restrictions
•Conduct a search of real estate records
•Travel to and from county offices to collect and deliver documents
•Verify ownership, legal descriptions, and restrictions by analyzing liens, maps, public records, leases, plat books, agreements, surveys, and contracts
•Check for real estate title defects after conducting property searches for issues such as liens, claims, deeds, wills, mortgages, or fraud
Qualifications:
•Title industry experience is not necessary; however, additional opportunities exist for candidates with experience in title and/or escrow, mortgage processing, or legal research
•A Kansas title producer license is not required but will be provided for those interested in obtaining it
•We prefer a process-driven, analytical, and detail-oriented individual with excellent communication skills
•Title, abstractor, or title examiner experience is preferred
•The ideal candidate will be process-driven, highly analytical, and detail-oriented with excellent communication skills
•A high school diploma is required, while a college degree is preferred
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is expected
•State license requirements must be met for this position, and a title producers license is a desirable bonus
