Primary Purpose

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Senior Analyst – Project Finance is primarily responsible for managing financing agreements, ensuring compliance, overseeing finance functions, producing reports, forecasting cash and supporting financial transactions. This role requires a deep understanding of project finance, strong analytical skills, and the ability to manage complex financial agreements.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

Compliance and Relationship Management

  • Ensure 100% compliance across all financing agreements.
  • Serve as a primary contact for daily operations for external debt financing partners.
  • Maintain and foster strong relationships with lenders, investors, and other financial stakeholders.
  • Promptly respond to information requests from internal and external partners.

Knowledge Center

  • Manage and interpret complex financing agreements.
  • Serve as the knowledge center for all financing agreements, providing guidance and expertise to internal teams.

Project Finance Functions

  • Assist in establishing process, documentation and controls to manage risks associated with project finance.
  • Oversee project finance functions, including producing and reviewing reports.
  • Assist with project debt covenant calculations and preparation of quarterly lender reporting packages.
  • Monitor key metrics and ensure accurate forecasting of cash distributions.
  • Manage construction loan administration and ensure timely disbursements.

Financial Analysis and Reporting

  • Perform ad-hoc financial analysis to support decision-making processes.
  • Draft financial tools and models to enhance financial planning and analysis.
  • Interpret financial statements and contribute to senior management reports.

Transaction Support

  • Support and lead financial transactions such as closings, refinancing, payoffs, and term conversions.
  • Manage processes for consents, amendments, and waivers to ensure smooth execution of financial transactions.

Data Analysis and Reporting

  • Perform data analysis and reporting at the request of our internal team or customers.
  • Contribute to strategic continuous improvements within the team.

Financial Analysis

  • Assist in long-term debt issuances and forecasts
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual interest forecasts and budgets
  • Other ad-hoc analysis as requested

Continuous Improvement and Compliance

  • Contribute to strategic continuous improvements within the team.
  • Promptly respond to information requests from internal and external partners.
  • Ensure compliance with internal finance policies and external statutory regulations.
  • Apply our internal control environment to the Order to Cash function.
  • Support a culture of high performance and collaboration with all team members.

Qualifications

Minimum requirements:

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.

Experience / Specific Knowledge

  • A minimum of four (4) years relevant project finance treasury, finance, contracts, energy, banking, portfolio or asset management experience.
  • Strong understanding of financial statements and/or financial analysis.

Certifications, Licenses & Registrations

  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and a driving record satisfactory to the company and its insurers (for travel).

Competencies / Skills / Abilities

  • Attention to detail.
  • Previous financial modeling experience preferred.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (i.e. pivot tables, Vlookup)
  • Strong ability to multi-task in a deadline driven setting.
  • Highly motivated and able to work independently.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to work with confidential and sensitive information in a professional manner.
  • Must be able to perform all essential and marginal functions of the job.
  • Must be able to work with a team, take direction from management, adhere to required work schedules, focus attention on details, and follow work rules.
  • Ability to successfully perform multiple tasks with strict deadlines.
  • Ability to show previous process improvements.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize daily work.
  • Job level commensurate with experience and skill sets; position will be filled depending on qualifications, experience and skill sets of the successful candidate.

Working Conditions

  • Modern office location in Lakewood, Colorado (Denver Metro)
  • May be required to carry a cell phone, and be available to respond during working and non-working hours.
  • The successful candidate will be required to clear a drug screen and a complete background check, including credit report for certain positions, after an offer has been extended and prior to being employed.

  • None

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATIONS, COMPETENCIES, SKILLS, & ABILITIES: Above the minimum requirements; not required but advantageous in this position:

  • MBA or MS Finance preferred
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Microsoft Power BI experience preferred
  • Experience with CapIQ and Bloomberg preferred

Compensation

  • The annual salary range for this position will be $90,000 - $120,000/yr.

Compensation: Compensation ranges are provided in good faith based on what we anticipate when researching wages for this position at the state and national levels. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This salary range may also be modified in the future.
