Primary purpose :
The Project Requisition Specialist is responsible for managing the requisition process for project-related materials and services. This role ensures timely and accurate procurement to support project execution, maintaining close coordination with project managers, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
Essential duties and responsibilities :
- Gather and consolidate data from engineering firms, manufacturers, and suppliers associated with the production, transportation, and storage of clean energy products. Present the data and make recommendations to key stakeholders in Engineering, Commercial, and Operations.
- Requisition Management, prepare and process purchase requisitions for project materials and services.
- Ensure all requisitions are complete, accurate, and comply with company policies and procedures.
- Supplier Coordination and communication with suppliers to obtain quotes, negotiate terms, and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to facilitate efficient procurement processes.
- Project Support and Work closely with project managers to understand project requirements and timelines.
- Monitor and track the status of requisitions and ensure timely fulfillment to support project schedules.
- Documentation and Reporting : Maintain detailed records of requisitions, supplier communications, and procurement activities.
- Prepare and present regular reports on requisition status, supplier performance, and other relevant metrics.
- Compliance and Risk Management to ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, legal requirements, and industry standards.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks related to procurement and supplier performance.
- Continuous Improvement and Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in the requisition process
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and new technologies to drive innovation in procurement practices.
