Responsibilities
Essential duties and responsibilities:
- Create, maintain and improve monthly accounting work papers in support of month-end and quarter-end activities.
- Routinely perform accounting for fixed asset acquisitions, abandonments, retirements, and additions.
- Reconcile various general ledger and fixed asset accounts on a monthly basis.
- Collaborate with Fixed Asset team and other departments to obtain information required for placing assets in service.
- Assist in analysis of various transactions and identify appropriate account recording and accounting treatment.
- Coordinate with external and internal auditors to assist in preparing ad hoc audit requests throughout the year.
- Collaborate with multiple departments to help enhance the AFE lifecycle management process.
- Prepare ASC-842 amortization schedules where necessary.
- Contribute to non-routine projects as needed.
- Support Oracle Fixed Asset Module as a super user, including answering questions, working with IT to make system enhancements and documenting processes.
- Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures.
- Regularly use Excel spreadsheets, database and word processing software, and periodically learn new software programs.
- Interact with a wide variety of people with tact, courtesy, and professionalism.
- Speak clearly, both in person and by telephone, using a high level of verbal skills and listen carefully.
- Maintain a regular, dependable attendance and a consistently high level of performance (hybrid model).
- Maintain a high regard for personal safety, for the safety of company assets and employees, and the general public.
- Other daily, weekly, monthly or special project duties as identified and defined.
Minimum requirements:
Education
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Accounting.
- Must have a fundamental understanding of accounting and financial principles.
- Introductory level of MS Office applications that may include but are not limited to Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and a driving record satisfactory to the company and its insurers (for travel).
- Strong analytical and interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, verbal and written.
- Must be able to perform all essential and marginal functions of the job.
- Must be able to work with a team, take direction from management, adhere to required work schedules, focus attention on details, and follow work rules.
- Ability to successfully perform multiple tasks with strict deadlines.
- Ability to organize and prioritize daily work.
- Job level commensurate with experience and skill sets; position will be filled depending on qualifications, experience and skill sets of the successful candidate.

Compensation
- The annual salary range for this position will be $60,000 - $75,000/yr.
