Requirements and Responsibilities
Electronics Assembler II assembles and installs electronic components and electromechanical products according to specifications and follows established manufacturing procedures. Follows drawings and schematics to wire, solder, and assemble electronic components such as Controls Panels, Various small Detection sensors, Large Variable Frequency Drive Cabinets and remote communication equipment Will also install mechanical Equipment in process Trailers and wire them according to diagrams. Use of hand tools, power tools, and other assembly equipment required. Conducts module programming and basic functional testing to monitor and verify quality. May disassemble units to repair defects and troubleshoot malfunctions as needed. Requires a high school diploma with 1-2 years' experience in Electronics. Some overtime required when needed.
Essential Functions
- Has ability to perform the following duties in the Automation department. Duties include Assembly of selected product lines, Control panels, Module programming, Sensors, Variable Frequency Drives.
- Assembles and tests assembly according to company specifications. Master basic skills and some advanced skills in procedures, techniques, tools, materials and / or equipment in area of expertise.
- Assist others during assembly of components in area of expertise. Teaches other assemblers' proper techniques and procedures.
- Resolves routine questions and problems. Refers more complex issues to higher levels.
- Uses material handling equipment to move parts, components and subassemblies from one work or storage area to another as required.
- Performs all duties in a safe manner and keeps all employees aware of dangers in the work area. Practices good housekeeping in work area.
- Maintain acceptable rejection, scrap rates, and production rates.
- Identify problems and be able to correct most of them with little assistance.
- Maintain proper maintenance of machines, equipment and facilities and keep in proper condition.
- Follow all oral and written instruction correctly.
- Responsible for recording all labor hours with a time system accurately.
- Responsible for cleaning tools and area prior to leaving each day.
