Your Role
As an Architectural Designer, you will collaborate closely with clients, project teams, and vendors to design remodels that enhance functionality, aesthetics, and livability. Your expertise in both architecture and interior design will be essential in ensuring a seamless remodeling experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Design Development: Meet with clients, develop and modify design concepts, and create detailed drawings, including floor plans, elevations, and 3D renderings.
- Site Inspections & Documentation: Conduct site inspections and produce accurate "as-built" drawings for remodeling projects. Project management using Buildertrend Software, and knowledge of building codes, preferred.
- Project Coordination: Proficiency in BIM Software (ArchiCAD preferred), Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office to create construction documents and collaborate with engineers and trade partners.
- Material & Finish Selections: Source high-quality materials and finishes that reflect the client’s vision while ensuring durability.
- Client & Vendor Interaction: Maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, engineers, and material suppliers, ensuring project success.
- Design Department Support: Assist in maintaining ArchiCAD templates, participate in design workshops, and stay updated on industry trends.
What We’re Looking For
- 5 years of architectural and interior design experience.
- 2 years in residential remodeling and construction.
- Degree or certification in Architecture, Interior Architecture, or a related field.
- Proficiency in ArchiCAD (preferred), AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office.
- Strong knowledge of residential construction techniques, building codes, and space planning.
- Excellent communication skills and a client-focused mindset.
- Valid California driver’s license and ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
