Job Description:
We are looking for a detail-oriented Shipping Clerk with experience in processing orders and handling FedEx shipments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate order fulfillment, coordinating shipments, and maintaining shipping records. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and knowledge of shipping software and procedures are key for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately process and fulfill customer orders in a timely manner.
- Prepare and print shipping labels, invoices, and packing slips.
- Coordinate shipments with FedEx and other carriers, ensuring compliance with shipping regulations and proper documentation.
- Track and monitor shipments, addressing any delivery issues or delays as needed.
- Maintain and update accurate shipping records and order statuses in the company's system.
- Perform quality checks to ensure packaging is correct and shipments are secure.
- Manage inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
- Communicate with internal teams and customers regarding shipping details and delivery schedules.
- Assist with loading and unloading shipments as required.
- Adhere to safety and shipping protocols to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a shipping clerk or in a similar role.
- Familiarity with FedEx shipping processes, software (e.g., FedEx Ship Manager), and regulations.
- Experience with order processing and inventory management systems.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Ability to lift and move packages (weight requirements may vary).
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and shipping-related software.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional logistics training is a plus.
