At Talmo & Associates, we are seeking an experienced Parts Finishing Expert to join our production team in Minden, NV. As a valued member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and precision of our machined parts.
About the Role:
- As a Parts Finishing Expert, you will be responsible for deburring and polishing machined parts using a workbench, compressed air, hand tools, and small power tools.
- Perform thorough visual inspections of various machined parts to ensure precision deburring and rectify problem areas.
- Promptly report deviations or nonconformities in dimensional materials to the Assistant Production Manager or Production Manager.
- Maintain accurate records of daily production, including obtaining and completing necessary forms and records as required.
- Ensure proper storage and organization of finished parts.
- Maintain company equipment, tools, and personal work area in a neat, clean, and organized manner.
- FOLLOW all safety procedures and advise the Production Manager of any safety-related issues.
- Document any safety concerns or near misses and participate in regular safety meetings.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment using small hand tools.
- Basic computer skills with the ability to perform data entry for recording inventory.
- Possess a reasonable degree of hand-eye coordination to effectively utilize tools required for the job.
- Ability to learn part names, part numbers, and deburring procedures and apply that knowledge in a timely manner.
- Demonstrate dedication towards satisfactory attendance and punctuality.
- Understanding of the importance of quality and consistently demonstrating a commitment towards the same.
- Ability to effectively get along with co-workers and work as a team member.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to accurately follow direction, both oral and written, and get along well with others.
- Attention to detail, accuracy, and flexibility are must-haves.
- Physical ability to lift up to 60 lb and push a cart weighing up to 600 lb.
- Physical ability to work extended hours in a standing position.
