Job Summary
We are seeking skilled and dependable Maintenance Technicians to join our team. This role involves the maintenance, installation, and repair of plant equipment, dock systems, and related technical systems. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, possesses hands-on technical experience, and demonstrates a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of plant equipment and technical systems.
- Install and maintain dock equipment, including truck restraints, dock seals, racking systems, and in-plant office setups.
- Respond to equipment breakdowns and provide on-site troubleshooting and repairs.
- Execute maintenance contracts and deliver technical support to customers.
- Operate a company work truck for daily tasks, including picking up and returning the truck to the shop.
- Participate in a 2-day orientation and adhere to company service and safety standards.
Qualifications:
- Hands-on maintenance or repair experience in plant equipment, trucks, or technical systems.
- Electrical and/or mechanical experience.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues.
- Clean driving record and ability to pass background and driver checks.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Reside within a 35-40 minute commute to the assigned shop or branch.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Automotive mechanic experience (beyond basic oil changes) or HVAC background.
- Stable work history with minimal job-hopping.
- Experience in customer-facing roles with a positive and professional attitude.
- Familiarity with dock systems, truck equipment, or related technical systems.
- Willingness to be on-call for service needs.
