About the Role
This Sales Specialist position plays a key role in driving revenue growth by managing customer accounts, processing sales orders, and promoting a diverse product line within the manufacturing sector. The role requires a balance of proactive client outreach, strategic sales execution, and support of operational workflows. Occasional travel and in-person client visits are expected to build and maintain strong business relationships.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and grow existing customer accounts through regular communication and responsive service
- Conduct outbound sales efforts via phone, email, and virtual meetings to generate quotes and close orders
- Enter sales orders accurately and ensure timely updates on product availability and lead times
- Support pricing of custom or specialty products in collaboration with management
- Document all sales activities and maintain detailed records of customer interactions
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through prospecting and lead generation
- Handle returns, credits, and order modifications to resolve customer issues promptly
- Participate in trade shows and industry events to promote products and gather market insights
- Travel occasionally for in-person client meetings and overnight visits as required
Qualifications:
- Associate or Bachelor's degree
- Minimum of two years of sales experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Publisher
- Excellent multitasking, organizational, and time management skills
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience in distributor, technical, or construction-related sales
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes or industrial products
- Understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and contract negotiation
- Experience using ERP systems for order and customer management

Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
